Repairs should be carried out by a suitably qualified person. WARNING: Do not attempt to open any sealed parts of the armour any tampering with or misuse of the body armour could seriously reduce its performance.

Cleaning your body armour
In order to prolong the life and to maintain the ballistic performance of your body armour you will need to ensure it is clean. Look after your kit and it will look after you.

Cleaning the outer cover
The outer cover can be machine or hand washed at a low temperature using a using mild detergent. DO NOT BLEACH OR SUBMERGE IN WATER.

Before washing the outer cover, remove all SAP and HAP components and close all Velcro fastenings. Store the panels flat, in a safe area and keep away from children, animals, direct heat, chemicals and sharp objects.

Any damage to the outer cover of the panel may affect the performance of your armour.

Cleaning the SAP components
SAP components should be wiped clean with a sponge or damp cloth using mild detergent. DO NOT BLEACH OR SUBMERGE IN WATER.

Cleaning the HAP components
HAP components should be wiped clean with a sponge or damp cloth using mild detergent. DO NOT BLEACH OR SUBMERGE IN WATER.

The HAP is made from a fragile ceramic material and should be handled carefully. You should avoid dropping the HAP.

Storage of your body armour
When your body armour is not in use, you should store your armour flat. Adjust the side straps where required to achieve this. Place the armour in the armour carry bag and store in a cool dry location where possible.

Do not fold the armour or place heavy items on top of it when in storage.

Environmental Conditions
Your body armour will function correctly in all conditions. It should not be deliberately subjected to intense heat, cold or submerged in water for long periods of time.
