Bulk Buying lego & shipping fees

Lego on eBay can be one of the best bargains to be found and also one of the best ways to make some extra cash from old unused Lego kits, bricks and kits.

One of the best places are car boots, people tend to sell a small carrier bag for around £2-£6, on eBay the same thing can fetch £10 upwards.

I have eBay one of the best places to find the hard to find/buy kits and figures for my son (and me), we mostly collect Star Wars theme Lego, but be wary, some items are well overpriced and dont get caught up in the auction wars. Set yourself a price limit and watch item carefully. Also look for similar items that are for sale and judge how much you are willing to spend. One of the best features on eBay is the 'completed items' searches, which will show you how much the same/similar item has sold for and then you can judge on how much you are willing to spend or how much you are likely to sell for.

Please bear in mind postage, the fees vary so much so make sure you know how much it will cost you to buy or to ship, 1st Class small packets upto .2kg only cost £1.83 (approx) so don't be conned. Use http://www.royalmail.com/pricefinder for help.

Wish eBay would introduce a estimated weight on sellers side so people could judge for themselves on if the shipping is fair. don't forget as I tend to do, include the fee for the packaging items etc.
