I have now had TWO Buyers who preferred that I do not add 'Insurance' or TO BE SIGNED FOR as they don't want that exrta 'cost.
Both of these two, sadly, were American, and usually Americans, for over 9 YEARS for me have been SUPERB and happy with my service over the years, but we ALL make mistakes,it's how you deal with them that matters.
These two Buyers, one for over £100.00GBP+ Postage was a Guitar and one for a Sadler Storage Jar,£7.99+ Postage, but it doesn't matter what it was,or to an extent, what price it was,but I have 'lost' over £180.00GBP now with these two in just a few weeks, and I now say NO MORE.
MY ADVICE IS ~ PLEASE ALWAYS ENSURE THAT ALL OF YOUR ITEMS HAVE GOT SOME KIND OF 'INSURED' DELIVERY UNDER FOR OVER £32.00GBP IN THE UK ~ Or are sent Via "TO BE SIGNED FOR" Overseas AS THE DELIVERY METHOD FOR YOUR BUYERS.
You can sell to whomever YOU please,so don't be put off as this will ensure you do not lose money as I did.
You can CANCEL any bid if you wish to?.
Having said that,I have only had a few, and almost all overseas in my 9 YEARS+ on EBAY ~ but ONE is more than enough .
No negotiations,or PLEASE DO NOT BID is my philosophy now as, quite frankly,Paypal do not seem to give any SELLERS SECURITY but only for BUYERS SECURITY.I understand that Buyers have to be 'looked after',but there are a few thieves posing as buyers on EBAY,and if you haven't been skimmed yet,you are lucky."PROOF OF POSTAGE" isn't enough seemingly????....
Please ensure all Items you send over £32.00GBP have security for THE BUYER by using the methods,or similar,I have outlined above,or make sure prospective buyers from whatever Countries you wish are not allowed to bid on your Items,or simply make them UK ONLY.....Murray,A.K.A.westhighlandscotty
PS.If you would like advice please email me and I can help as much as I can?>
Buyers stopping their payment VIa Paypal.
