Buying silver jewellery

Please beware of some international sellers who sell Silver Jewellery and try to hide some fact in the listing, they will list the item as 925 Silver and then in some small writing will say Silver Plated or Silver Filled!
HALLMARKING SILVER PLATED OR SILVER FILLED JEWELLERY IS CONSIDERED ILLEGAL IN UK (UNDER HALLMARKING ACT)
Many other sellers will not mention the treatment Silver Jewellery has had at all!
They will use word that you will look to feel assured such as solid, genuine, 100% and Guarantee
But instead of saying: SOLID 925 SILVER JEWELLERY
They will say: SOLID JEWELLERY 925 SILVER
And instead of saying 100% genuine, they say: 100% service guarantee or 100% new
Ask questions and ask the weight of the item if it is not mentioned and be suspicious if they do not provide answers and don't accept answers such as “I'm an old woman”! I had two sellers from China furnishing me with that answer!
And most importantly remember precious metal (e.g., Platinum, Gold or Silver) prices are set worldwide there are no countries that have lower prices for SILVER, if the jewelleries cost less than silver price set internationally you should ask the seller how they can offer such a price?!!!
