I recently purchased a Bmw from ebay the description stated the car needed a new back box which turned out to be a new cat and front exhaust at the cost of £230 i also did an Hpi check which turned out the car was a cat D not mentioned in decription or in the receipts i was given .This is not the 1st time i have had problems when buying a car from ebay here are a few tips in buying a car from ebay .
Always view the car before bidding
Do an HPI check it costs £4 but worth every penny to save you buying a dud
Dont be afraid to haggle of the car is not all it seems and they want to much
Is the V5 present if not they should be able to give you the new keeper suppliment and then you will need a v62 form to apply for a new one.
Ask questions check the car over engine and undernath for rust
If it seems to good to be true then it probly is
Dont buy outside of ebay as your not covered if somthing is wrong
Not every car is a dud but some people will lie just to get rid of it quickly so you are better to check it over and hpi check it the last thing you want is to pay over the odds and find your car is a write off.
Its better to be safe than sorry
