If you are entitled to sign a VAT exemption certificate this guide does not apply to you.
There are many people who wish for whatever reason, to buy items advertised by mobility dealers, but are not entitled to sign the exemption certificate.
If you are in any doubt about your entitlement, you should contact your local VAT office who will be able to advise you.
Most mobility dealers advertise the price excluding VAT, which can be misleading if you are liable to pay VAT.
If this is the case it will be stated somewhere in the listing description so you should read it very carefully, before you commit to buy, otherwise you might find yourself with a considerably higher bill than you expected, and your bargain buy might not turn out to be the bargain that you thought it was.
If you search by lowest price first, this will not reflect any VAT payable, so before you compare prices you should find out if VAT is payable, and add it to the price.
