CHANGES TO CATEGORIES FOR TURNTABLES ON EBAY

I NOTICE THAT EBAY HAS MADE ALTERATIONS AND CHANGES TO THE WAY IT LISTS TURNTABLES AND TURNTABLE PARTS.  TURNTABLES AND TURNTABLE PARTS ALWAYS USED TO BE UNDER THE SAME LISTING. NOW EBAY LIST TURNTABLES UNDER HOME/AUDIO AND HI-FI SEPARATES AND TURNTABLE PARTS UNDER TV AND HI-FI PARTS.  THIS IN EFFECT SEPARATES THE TWO ITEMS, SO FOR INSTANCE WITH THE OLD SYSTEM IF YOU LISTED A TURNTABLE IT WOULD ALWAYS APPEAR ALSO IN TURNTABLE PARTS BUT NOW YOU WOULD NEED TO PAY FOR TWO INSERTION FEES TO MAKE USE OF THIS FACILITY.  I THINK IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAXIMISE THE POTENTIAL FOR INSERTION FEES EBAY ONCE AGAIN SHOOTS ITSELF IN THE FOOT BY LESSENING THE POTENTIAL FOR THE SALE OF ITEMS IN THESE CATEGORIES TO GET MAXIMUM VALUE OWING TO REDUCING AN ITEM'S ABILITY TO REACH ITS POTENTIAL MARKET. EBAY HAVE ANTICIPATED THAT PEOPLE WILL NOW PAY TO LIST TURNTABLE AND TURNTABLE PARTS IN BOTH CATEGORIES, THEY PROBABLY WILL NOT AND JUST OPT FOR THE ONE CATEGORY WHICH SUITS THEM BEST AND SO REDUCING THE POTENTIAL OF THE ITEM TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM VALUE AND THEREFORE REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF FINAL VALUE FEES APPLICABLE TO AN ITEM.  SO THIS CHANGE IN MY OPINION SERVES ABSOLUTELY NO PURPOSE AT ALL, EBAY WILL NOT BENEFIT FROM THIS CHANGE, THE SELLING COMMUNITY WILL NOT BENEFIT FROM THIS CHANGE.  I REALLY THINK THAT EBAY NEED TO SIT DOWN AND CONSIDER ITS POLICY DECISIONS AND ALL THE IMPLICATIONS OF SUCH CHANGES.
