This is a great bit of kit at a really good price now that it's new model has been released.

The build quality feels solid and its a nice looking and compact printer to take on the road with you.  Its mains but you can buy a battery accessory pack which will be handy when out and about on a shoot for test prints.

I'm printing out of the box with a compact flash card, quick and easy to set up and use.  The first round of colours are vibrant and crisp and quick too for a dye sub.

There are a few tweaks you can do on the printer without the need for a laptop and photo editing software.  You can crop, rotate and red eye etc - these are basic settings only and are perfect if you are usually happy with your shots as is from your own camera.  (There are other models that are more expensive with more options on the printer).  You have a built in compact lcd viewer which gives a good representation of the final print and the menu system is easy to use.

I bought a bulk pack of colour printer cartridge and paper online from a store in jersey which works out at around 12p per print.  The cartridge pack itself contains the paper and the printer will take 50 sheets at a time which is neat.

You cant go wrong at this price  - I found it online with p&p for £85  - esp with the running cost quite low.  Perfect Christmas or birthday present for someone with a digitial camera.
