These cheating sellers are ruining the great marketplace for everyone and although we are all still awaiting ebay to do something to stop them they is several things you can do to reduce the chances of been a victim.

These tips wont completely stop them from attacking you but will greatly reduce the chances of them doing this to you and more importantly it will make it easier for ebay to completely remove them from ebay for good.

Force New ebayers to register a credit card to varify there identity.

  1. Click on my ebay
  2. Goto my account down the left hand side,
  3. Click on preferences.
  4. You are now presented with several options the one you want is the last option.
  5. Check the box and change the next box to 5 or 7.
  6. Save settings.

What this does is force any ebayer with a feedback score of 7 or less to register a credit card to varify there identity, if they dont add a credit card to file then they are blocked from buying or bidding.

If they are not willing to add a credit card they you really dont want to do business with them anyway as they could be anyone.

If the ebay member has a feedback score of 7 or more then the chances are that they are a legitimate ebayer anyway and they are NOT asked to add a credit card they can bid & buy as normal.

This is one method that works well to deter these cheating sellers as if they add a credit card to file and still cheat you then ebay can connect all the ebay accounts they have and close them all down and no ebayer wants to risk that.

I hope you find this usefull and i hope it saves you from been a victim from these cheating sellers.
