Tips and Tricks

Finding Nintendo NES games has become a lot more difficult over the past 5 years so eBay is the place where most people turn. There are several things to check when buying though to ensure you're purchase is exactly what you want! There's no good buying a game from the wrong region, one that doesn't work or something you're never going to be happy with!

1. Always ensure that the Region code is 'A' for European consoles! Any other letter may be Japanese and will not work in your NES! (see image example below)

2. Always check when listings state a game is 'rare' there are loads of listings on Google that will list the rarest games and if it's not on the list, it's actually really common. The best example of this is 'Mario Bros 1'

3. Always check recent feedback from a seller, if there are not many good pictures of products this can also be an indication of bad news. Simply see if they've been left good feedback in the past month - simple but vital!

4. Lastly, double check pictures of labels to ensure they are not copies or fakes (simply type the name of the game into Google images!) look for mis-colourings, rips, tears and layered stickers too!
