This is a cautionary tale. I recently agreed to ship a parcel to a part of Eastern Europe. I used InterParcel and paid for tracking and £200 insurance for the item, a nokia n96.

Everything was smooth and the couriers at this end were very efficient. I tracked the parcel to it's end destination only for the bidder to raise a dispute with paypal claiming that the phone was not in the box.

Initially I was very angry thinking the bidder was out to stitch me up. I got him to send some pics of the packaging and it quickly became evident that the parcel, which I had wrapped in a way that nothing short of a stanley knife was going to open it, had been opened the contents removed and the parcel re taped, with a foreign language!! wrapping tape, and the box continued on it's merry way.

I have raised a claim and am awaiting settlement. Interparcel have been very helpful and I have no complaint with the service they provide. But beware the forward carriers. In this case I believe it to be DHL.

My tips always wrap well, take full insurance to cover replacement of the item, record the IMEI number and take lots of pics. If possible get the guy collecting to witness a weight check and get a signature to the fact. But my best advice if you can avoid it DONT ship over seas!

Anyone know how I can get this phone blocked???
