The didgeridoo is an aerophone (wind instrument) native to Australia, particularly the Northern part around Arnhem Land. Fully traditional instruments have many names but Yidaki is used more now everywhere. A very high percentage of 'didgeridoo' offered for sale here on Ebay have nothing to do with Australia or the Aboriginal (Yolgnu) peoples of that continent. Many thousands of didgeridoos are now made every year in Bali and other Far Eastern countries. They are typically made from several materials - with problems associated - see my next guide on this.
