Dog Leads

When thinking about purchasing a dog lead there are many things to consider, the first being is the size of your dog, different leads are available for different size animals, if you have a great dane then you shouldn't go for a lead that is for small dogs as if you are out and your dog decides that they want to chase a bird then there is a great danger that the lead will snap and your dog will get away.

You also need to think about the type of lead that will suit your dog, if you dog like to wander or if they do not return when off the lead, you may want to consider a retractable lead so they are safely on a lead that extends to around 2-3 meters and at the click of a button they can be at your side.  A short lead gives you more control of your pet as they will be pretty much right by your side, you may decide on a harness, this is a good way of controlling a strong dog without risk of injury to their neck.

Which ever lead you decide on, it needs to be the best option for both you and your dog.  all dogs are different and so are leads!
