THERE IS SOME ROYAL WORCESTER PORCELAIN TO WATCH OUT FOR. THAT IS FAKE.

THE STAMP ABOVE IS A FAKE ROYAL WORCESTER STAMP

AS  A WORCESTER SELLER  I CAN HELP YOU TO UNDERSTAND A LITTLE OF WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR.

I BOUGHT A PEICE OF ROYAL WORCESTER MYSELF A YEAR AGO. UNAWARE AT THE TIME THERE WAS FAKES GOING AROUND. I PAID ALOT A MONEY FOR A LARGE POT POURRI. HAND PAINTED WITH FRUIT. AT 1ST GLANCE IT SEEMED OK. UNTIL I LOOKED CLOSELY. THE CHINA ITSELF WAS VERY GREY LOOKING. THE FRUIT PAINTED WAS NOT VIBRANT. I GOT IN TOUCH WITH THE ROYAL WORCESTER FACTORY.

I SPOKE TO A GENTLEMAN THERE THAT WENT ROUND FAIRS. AND CHECKED EBAY REGULAR. HE TOLD ME THAT IF YOU LOOK AT THE BASE STAMP WHAT SHOULD READ FINE BONE CHINA.

THE FAKES READ FINE BONL CHINA. INSTEAD OF THE LETTER E IN BONE IT IS THE LETTER L.

BUT IF YOU KNOW ABOUT YOUR CHINA YOU WILL KNOW THE REAL THING TO THE FAKE. IT JUST DOES NOT LOOK RIGHT..

SO WHEN BUYING ON EBAY OR ANYWERE LIKE ANTIQUE FAIS JUST BE CAREFUL. ASK BEFORE YOU BUY FOR A CLOSE UP PICTURE OF THE BACK STAMP.

I DO KNOW THAT P STANLEY THE PAINTER

HAS HAD FAKE PORCELAIN PUT TO HIS NAME. WHICH IS A SHAME AS HE IS A VERY GOOD PAINTER.
