ALWAYS DO CHECKS THE FOLLOWING WHEN BUYING A CAR:

1. ALWAYS ARRANGE TO MEET THE BUYER AT THEIR HOME OR OFFICE TO VIEW A VEHICLE, NEVER AGREE TO MEET UP AT A PETROL STATION OR AIRPORT TO CLOSE THE DEAL, MEETING UP IN A PUBLIC PLACE IS FINE BUT ALWAYS REQUEST TO FINISH OFF PAPER WORK & COMPLETE PAYMENT AT THE SELLERS HOME OR OFFICE IF THEY ARE A DEALER.

2. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE VEHICLE FOR A TEST DRIVE & SATISFY YOURSELF WITH THE CAR.

3. ENSURE THE SELLER GIVES YOU AS MANY DOCUMENTS AS POSSIBLE, V5 LOGBOOK, MOT CERTIFICATE, SERVICE HISTORY, & MOST IMPORTANTLY A HPI CERTIFICATE TO SHOW THE VEHICLE YOU ARE BUYING DOES NOT HAVE AN OUTSTANDING FINANCE OR ALERTS.

4. THE LOGBOOK / HPI REPORT WILL SHOW THE VEHICLES IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WHICH IS NORMALLY SHOWN AS THE "VIN" OR "CHASSIS" NUMBER, CHECK THESE AGAINST THE CAR YOU BUYING WHICH IS NORMALLY LOCATED UNDER THE BONNET ON THE SLAM PANEL OR THE FRONT WINDSCREEN PASSENGER SIDE. DO NOT BUY IF THIS NUMBER DOES NOT MATCH UP.

5. ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED ALL YOUR CHECKS & HAVE SATISFIED YOURSELF MAKE SURE YOU GET A PURCHASE INVOICE FROM THE BUYER AFTER PAYMENT.
