Please be aware if a violin is said to be LABELLED by a particular maker, it in auction house terminology it is not. For it to be genuine the word used should be BY. It was a common practice to use false labels and still is. Please be very careful over modern makers, as there have been violins sold recently LABELLED, Hargraves, Luff, and Rubio, all very famous modern makers, whose violins are worth thousands, which turn out to be doctored modern chinese violins. Putting a label in by a modern maker is a case of fraud. Buyer beware.
