Feedback Regarding Delivery Times

Over the years I have traded on eBay I have noticed an increasing trend of leaving sellers positive and negative feedback based on delivery times. Delivery times have nothing to do with eBay sellers and has everything to do with the delivery company used. Feedback comments such a 'Quick Delivery' 'Fast Delivery' 'Got Here At Lightning Speed' are in fact praising the delivery company used, which is great but they will never see this praise. Also the reverse side where negative feedback is left due to slow delivery will never be addressed by the delivery company responsible as they have no idea there was ever a problem.

Unless a seller delivers an item personally, with there own delivery personnel and vehicles etc the comments left have no relevance. Even the 5 star rating system has no mention of DELIVERY TIMES but does mention DISPATCH TIME. This is the time it takes for a purchase to be picked, packed and handed to the relevant delivery company. Once an item/s have left and in the care of a delivery company a seller cannot control the process or time it takes to reach you in any shape or form.

I think that most sellers would agree with me in saying that we would much rather hear about what you thought about the actual product you bought, what the packing was like, how quickly it was dispatched, did the seller answer your questions promptly and so on. This would allow sellers to identify any problem areas quickly so that improvements can be made and also on the positive side lets a seller know that you the customer are happy with the product and service provided.

Customer satisfaction and happiness is the most important aspect of being an eBay seller, any form of online retailing and face to face sales as it allows improvements, new directions, improved training and overall better market place which makes for a better customer buying experience.

Help sellers to help you by leaving focused and relevant feedback.

Thanks for reading; your time is much appreciated.
