This guide contains the information to help you identify which caliper is fitted to the rear of your Ford Mondeo MK3

Ford Mondeo models made between 2000 and 2007 had 2 different rear calipers fitted, they changed around 2004, below are images and notes pointing out the most noticable differences. You will notice the caliper castings changed significantly and also the shape of the brake pads also changed. Please check before ordering.

Early calipers

  • Usually fitted between 2000 and 2004
  • Smooth finish to caliper casting
  • Brake pads have rounded ends

Later calipers

  • Usually fitted between 2004 and 2007
  • Ribbed finish to caliper casting
  • Brake pads have squared ends

It is important to check which caliper you have fitted, if your are unsure, remove a wheel and check. If thats not possible, order both types and return the un-used parts for a refund.
