Fuji s2 pro.....Battery pack fitting /mods. to Chinois

Hi.....just a couple of points re. fitting of said item .My problem was my disgust at cr123a batteries, and their price...and the S2 pro eats them ... solution.......1. rechargable cr123's....result ..disaster...the ones I bought on e-bay were nearly 2mm too long, so the batt. compartment would not close !!disaster...FORGET RECHARGABLE 123'S...believe me.. 2. correct solution........bit Heath Robinson, but if you are any good at model-making/DIY then very good.. buy battery back for Nikon N80 (e bay, c. £25)...take at least 3 weeks to come !..then it comes, and does not fit..not to worry........2 things to do ...file down rear/edge(side with thumbscrew)..I use a detail sander...FLUSH...then, (clever bit)..bulk up the 'battery' posts that are integral to the (MB16) battery pack, with, wait for it ,cut-up plastic 10ml syringe bodies..(I saw this first on Internet, so am not claiming my idea)! Stick it together..and BINGO !!!!!!!!IT ALL WORKS ......NO MORE CR123'S..AND 8X RECHARGEABLE AA's !!!!!!! Hurrah!!!!!!!!!Use that juice, and don't feel guilty....enjoy.
