Need help adding some curb appeal to your home? Follow these tips and you’ll boast a happy, beautiful home in no time!
1. Add Shutters
Shutters are my favourite way to add curb appeal to the home. You can make them or buy them and attach them to just the front windows for an instant update! You don’t have to use just black shutters either. Consider a more colourful approach if you are feeling bold!
2. Add lighting
Porch lights are usually small and almost invisible to the passer by. Make a statement by switching them up! Use barn lights or more modern fixtures to dress up your front porch and garage lights. Be sure to leave them on in the evening for a warm visitor welcome! Here is some great lighting inspiration! You can find other great outdoor lights here!
3. Add Floral Decor Everywhere!
If you don’t consider yourself a green thumb, you’re in good company. Use hearty bushes to line your walkways or the front of your house for a sophisticated look. Planters outside the front door and garage filled with seasonal blooms will make you happy to come home! Don’t forget to dress up your front door with a seasonal wreath too! The flowers don’t have to be real (any of them really!) Just there!
4. Add Some Colour!
You cannot go wrong in painting your front door any colour you want! From red, to teal, to yellow and even a classy black, your house will definitely benefit from it. The same can be done to your garage door too. Be sure to use the appropriate, durable, outdoor paint when taking on this project.

Bright furniture on your porch is another fantastic way to add curb appeal. Paint a chair, table or baskets for display and use!
6. Paint Concrete and Cinderblocks
If your home has a concrete or cinder block wall or planting bed, consider painting it! You can make it match your fence or house or paint it with a pop of colour! It’s your home, don’t be shy, let your personality shine through!
