A QUESTION OFTEN ASKED,

HOW CAN I SEND A PARCEL THATS OVER 5FT LONG? AS THE POST OFFICE WILL NOT ACCEPT SUCH PARCELS.

THE POST OFFICE GENERALLY ACCEPT PARCELS UP TO 5FT ONLY.

PARCELS ABOVE THIS LENGTH NEED TO BE SENT VIA A PRIVATE COURIER. PRIVATE COURIERS USUALLY ONLY OPERATE IF YOU HAVE AN ACCOUNT ONLY. IF YOU HAVE A LOCAL DELIVERY FIRM DEPOT SUCH AS THE LIST BELOW USUALLY THEY WILL DELIVER YOUR PARCEL TO THE DESTINATION AT A ONE OFF FEE. GENERALLY YOU SHOULD BE CHARGED AROUND THE £15.00 MARK FOR ANYTHING AROUND THE 5-6.5FT LENGTH BELOW A WEIGHT OF APPROX 6KG. SOME FIRMS THAT I HAVE USED PREVIOUSLY ON THESE ONE OFFS ARE,

APC, INITIAL CITY LINK, SECURICOR, TNT, UPC, DHL, UK PARCELS, TARGET EXPRESS.

THE EVEN EASIER WAY OF SENDING THESE IS TO FIND A MAIL ORDER COMPANY LOCAL TO YOU AND SEE IF THEY WILL SEND THE ITEM FOR YOU. THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT DOING IT THIS WAY IS THE FACT THAT THERE DELIVERY RATES/CHARGES WILL BE MASSIVELY UNDER THE ONE OFF COST/FEE. COMPANYS THAT SEND OUT PARCELS THIS LENGTH AND HAVE A CHEAPER CONTRACT WHICH TO DO SO ARE COMPANYS SUCH AS, FISHING TACKLE SHOPS, CARPET SHOPS.

I HOPE THIS HELPS AND ANY FURTHER INFORMATION NEEDED DROP ME AN EMAIL AND IM ALWAYS HERE TO HELP...
