HOW I GROOM MY YORKSHIRE TERRIER

Like if this guide is helpful

I am able to groom and cut the hair on my Yorkshire Terrier and it saves me a lot of  money.

The Equipment I Use:

Clippers
Scissors (Hairdressing type)
Nail Trimmers
Shampoo
Conditioner
Towels
Hairdryer
Brush
Comb
Flea Comb

Getting Started

First I trim up and down both ears, then remove the hair on the ears both sides with the scissors being careful not to cut into the ears.

I trim around the paws and remove the hair between the pads. Then I cut the hair up the legs to the body, leaving it about one centimeter long. The nails I also trim at the tips with care not to cut to much off.

Now I am ready to use the clippers. I normally choose the smallest comb attachment for a fairly close shave, which leaves the hair about one centimeter long.

If I make a mistake and cut too much hair off it will soon grow back.

BATHING MY YORKIE

I use a non-slip bath mat for my dog to stand on. I fill up the sink with the water to the correct warm temperature and using a jug pour water over my dog.  Then I lather in shampoo all over, then rinse using the warm water from the sink. I use conditioner, then rinse again.

I dry my Yorkie with a towel. Then I place another towel on my lap and comb and brush. I am now ready to start using the hairdryer.

I now have a smart looking Yorkshire Terrier that also smells lovely.

SCISSORS, CLIPPERS, NAIL TRIMMERS, HAIRDRYERS, COMBS AND BRUSHES SHOULD ONLY BE USED ON A DOG BY A COMPETENT ADULT. ALSO THE BATHING OF A DOG.

I am a buzz agent.
