We live in a world where everyone is Health and Safety crazy! For those who want to qualify in this field need to be aware of how demanding these courses are.... My advice is unless you already have a Degree or equivalent, then begin with the National General Certificate which you can opt to do in a classroom environment or distance learning at a cost of around £1200.
Once completed you have a qualification which is in high demand across many business sectors. You can then advance onto the NEBOSH flagship qualification.....the Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health...and hopefully get your employer to pay for it as it costs a fortune....anywhere between £4000-£6000....remember you have 5 years to complete all 4 Units....failure will result in having to re-take all the exams....and there hard enough as  it is!    All hand written exams..old school...under a time limit of 3 hours! Writing for 3 Hours is painful, i can tell you!!  Be prepared and ensure you have practiced previous exam questions and sat a few full exams under the time restraints. This is imperative in achieving a pass and not a referral!
If your not sure which course to take then i would suggest purchasing the National General Certificate from E bay and have a good look to see if its up your street....once you have signed up to a course provider and handed over £1200..its a bit late!
Its hard work, yes, but nothing worth having is going to be easy....its hard for a reason....NEBOSH Qualifications are known worldwide and companies pay well for that expertise.....Good Luck.
