(no particular order)
1)When you are trying to conceive, it is best to avoid oral sex on the days that you are fertile.
The reason is that saliva has bacteria in it that are harmful and damaging to the sperm. Therefore you do not want any saliva in any area where sperm might be present. So, just avoid it around the time of ovulation, when you are trying to conceive.
2)Try for both of you to relax, before having sex. A good idea is practicing Yoga or some breathing meditation technique to calm your nerves (it's NEVER a good idea to have speak when either of you is angry, nervous or upset for some reason). Watch a yoga video, nature sounds or some other soothing for the mind audio or video.
3) Folic acid reduces the risk of certain birth defects such as spina bifida. Some research that suggests that men withfolic acid deficiency can have sperm problems.
Now, new research points to folic acid as a possible aid in conception. Meaning, that taking folic acid, can actually help you to conceive.
So, if you and your partner are not takingfolic acid, surely all of the research should now have you convinced it is somethingyou should definitely do!
4)There is some recent research which suggests that using a hands-free device with a cell phone may affect a man's fertility if he keep his phone close to his testicles, Cleveland Clinic researchers warn in the journal Fertility and Sterility.

5)When trying to get pregnant it's very important to eliminate as many medications from your routine as possible. Talk with your physician about your prescriptionmedications. You may need to discontinue use or try something new.
Male fertility factors contribute to approximately 40% of all infertility cases. Getting pregnant is not just a woman's problem!
One medication that has been known to impact male fertility is Tagamet - used to treat ulcers, gastrointestinal problems, and urinary tract infections. This medication can have a harmful effect on sperm production and sperm count.Throw it out!! (Or at least hide it for the time being).
You may have heard, there has been an ongoing debate about whether drinking coffee (or other caffeine beverages) can cause a delay in getting pregnant. Studies have been done and the research is mixed--some conclude yes, others conclude no.
Some studies now suggest that even one cup of coffee per day can reduce a woman's chances of getting pregnant within a 12-month period by more than 50%. Three cups a day, and the odds drop by more than 175%.
If you're feeling depressed about the thought of giving up your morning "fix", you should know there are some other beverages that can be a worthwhile substitute, as they actually enhance your fertility.
6)For women, don't eat parsley before and during pregnancy.
