How To Identify UK Vertigo Swirl 1st Pressings - part2

LABEL DESIGN:
Version 2 - large swirl above spindle, VERTIGO below spindle
Vertigo dropped the VO catalogue prefix after the first 6 releases detailed above and adopted a new catalogue system beginning 6360 followed by 3 digits; eg, 001. The label design also followed the same basic layout used on Black Sabbath and Cressida up to early 1971. Any exceptions to this 'rule' are detailed against the respective artist. This label design ran up to Spring 1971, after that is changed to the version 3 label (with minor alterations up to early 1973) and was then dropped in favour of the 'Spaceship' or 'UFO' design.

The 6360 series:
Catalogue numbers 001 - 040 inclusive 'should' have the version 2 label design (although there a handful in the 030's that feature the version 3 design! just to be confusing - these are shown below against the respective LP:

(NB, first press sleeve mentions Management: Jim Sullivan, Big Bear, Birmingham, 2nd issue sleeves omit this credit). This is the first Vertigo swirl to reach number 1 in the UK album charts, so there are PLENTY around! Check the sleeve AND the label for a guaranteed 1st press...
