I am going to share with you a little known secret and tips for finding and buying bargains on eBay.  This tactic takes advantage of the fact that local collect items on eBay attract fewer bids and a low ending price.  This is because these items can only be picked up and tends to reduce the number of prospective bidders to only those that actually live locally.

With the help of an excellent online search tool and a marketplace where you can book couriers for 25% of the regular price, I'll show you how!

1) Tap "Localbargainfinder" into any search engine and go to the first result.

Type in the type of products you are interested in.  Remember, you are looking for those larger, heavier, bulkier tems.  The types of goods which you cannot take down to your post office!  You will be taken back to eBay and the best results will be shown to you.  You can have a good search through and make a shortlist of your favourites.

2) Go to:  http://stores.ebay.co.uk/shiplyuk/Shiply.html

Shiply is the UK's online transport marketplace.  You can list goods to move on the site and then get low cost quotes (up to 75% off) from thousands of couriers.

Click on list a shipment and follow the instructions on screen to import your eBay item to Shiply.  This is all free and you are never under any obligations.

It will take several hours for the best quotes to come in but you will get emails letting you know.

Once you have received good quotes for delivery, you can set yourself a full budget for the item on eBay.  Think about the total cost including delivery and bid accordingly on eBay.  Provided you win the item on eBay, you can then book your delivery via Shiply.

No longer are "local collect" items a pain, instead they are a great opportunity!  Enjoy
