MAKE SURE YOUR HOLIDAY IS ALL THAT YOU WANT IT TO BE.

I have looked at many Holiday Auctions and quick breaks advertised on eBay and other internet sites, but all that glitters is not gold. In many cases, when you book "accomodation only" even if you use your credit card to pay, if something goes wrong you will not be covered by your insurance. You must tell your holiday insurance company that it is not a package deal holiday, and that it is booked seperately from the flights.

Also you may spot a great  late package deal which suits your pocket. Please, please find a good holiday review site and look for any customer reviews for the particular hotel before you go ahead an commit. I have met many unhappy holidaymakers that did not take any time to have a look for customer reviews on their chosen holiday. Find one like the "holiday watchdog" web site, where people give their own honest opinions. One persons ideal holiday may not be good for another, but you will get a rough idea on the quality of the hotel from the reviews left by others. Also if you cannot find the resort you have chosen, ask someone on the review site and they will try to help you if they can. Do not jump at a bargain and then read the reviews. Make sure you are as informed as possible before you make a decision, and also ask about any hidden charges that may crop up once the booking has been made.

VERY IMPORTANT.. MAKE SURE THE COMPANY YOU ARE BOOKING WITH ARE BOTH COVERED BY ABTA AND ATOL...

Recently lots of people who booked cheap holidays on the net have been scammed and lost thousands of pounds plus lost the holidays they have saved for all year long,

PROTECT YOURSELF AND PAY  FOR ANY HOLIDAY WITH A CREDIT CARD, IF ANYTHING DOES GO WRONG YOU ARE FULLY COVERED AND WILL GET YOUR MONEY BACK.IF YOU PAY BY DEBIT CARD OR CHEQUE BANKS ARE NOT BOUND TO REFUND YOUR MONEY EVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN BY FRAUD.

read the small print if you can and cover yourself by knowing the terms and conditions. I am an x travel agent and worked in the industry for 10 years so I am speaking from experience from both sides of the counter

Look out for helpful snippets that will give you tips on shopping, trips and sightseeing.

A bit of knowledge goes a long way specially, when it is something as important as a well earned break.
