I absolutely love gallery walls! They give me the freedom to create and decorate wild! If you have a blank space on the wall, go for it! Look around your home and see what you can add to your gallery. If you like it, put it up! I'm sharing some of my favourite gallery wall ideas below. Have a Plan

To avoid unnecessary holes in the wall, plan it out! If you have space, map it out on the floor. If not, get  graph paper and draw out your items (to scale).  Once you have your items, cut them out and start arranging. When it's the way you like (on paper), put it up!  For a more precise look, use a  leveler

Keep them Empty

Vintage picture  frames or discarded windows, like the ones pictures left, are almost everywhere these days. If you find a few hidden jewels assemble them together. No picture, no problem! Leave them plain and let the frame do the talking!

Mix it Up

For an eclectic gallery wall, mix and match your frames. Place some horizontal and some vertical! If you like it, then it looks great! If you're worried about free-styling try a wall hanging kit like this one!

Paint It

For a super funky design,  paint fun shapes on the wall and add a matching   shelf! If you're like me and like to change your space up a lot, this installation is just as easy to add as it is to remove. Make it personal  and add your favourite tchotchkes, plants and figurines to the wall.

Show off Your Goodies

This one's perfect for the nomadic bohemian that loves to travel! Overlap your favourite items on a blank wall. Each piece can vary in size, shape and texture! Just mix things up and show off your goods! To house even more fun items, flip a small basket on its side and turn it into a shelf! Are you a collector of  vintage keys? Put that up too!

Add a Plant

Plants make everything better right? Mingle in a few  wall planters or add one to a painted shelf.  If you're a true plant lover, dedicate an entire wall to plants! Trust me, you can never have too many. Just don't forget about the plants on the wall - they need water!

Store It on the Wall

Hang small wooden  shelves to store your  air plants, small jars and collectables. For a uniform look, group like items by shape or colour! Have fun with the styling; this is something that can grow with you over time!

Hang Baskets

Who says gallery walls have to be full of frames? Switch it up and hang a hand woven   basket! Add in a few frames,  mirrors and African masks and you'll have a super eclectic African-inspired gallery wall! For a two-in-one DIY, frame   mud cloth instead of a picture.
