Impey Aqua Dec:

If it's an instant wetroom shower floor you are looking for then you have come to the right place. The Aqua-Dec is the original wetroom floor former designed and manufactured by Impey UK.

Impey have designed the Aqua-Dec to provide the installer with the means of instantly creating a wetroom shower floor base, without the worry or hassle of having to manually create falls, or setting drains into a sand and cement mix.  The 'Dec simply slots in alongside the existing floor boards and is connected to a drainage outlet. It just rests on the joists and is screwed into position, then you tank the floor including the 'Dec and it's ready to tile.  It doesn't get any easier than that!
Plus the Aqua-Dec can easily cope with loads up to 40 stone and comes with a 15 year warranty. (Note: The Aqua-Dec is also suitable for setting into concrete floors).

Why choose Aqua - Dec?
• Durable, extremely strong and simple to install
• Suits all types of floor construction
• Only 22mm in depth, with 17mm preformed gradient
• Flow rate 22 litres per minute
• Can be trimmed and reversed depending on size
• Saves creating manual gradients
• Adjustable gully for varying tile thicknesses
• Self adhesive membrane
• Drain positions designed to avoid joists
• Available in many sizes

The Aqua -Dec system suits both timber and concrete floors ...

Timber floor with tiled surface:
The Aqua-Dec, being 22mm thick is ideal for most timber floor installations. To fit the Aqua-Dec the floor boards are removed. When the drainage and the pipe work have been installed the Aqua-Dec can then be permanently fixed to the joists. The remaining floor must finish level with the Aqua-Decs edges in preparation for the floor tiles.

Concrete floor with tiled surface:
On concrete floors the Aqua-Dec can be let into the concrete screed nd when the pipe work has been completed it can then be bedded own to sit level with the existing floor which must finish level with the
Aqua-Decs edges in preparation for the floor tiles.

Timber floor with vinyl covering:
The Aqua-Dec being 22mm thick is ideal for most timber floor situations. To fit the dec the floor boards are removed. When the drainage and the pipe work have been installed the dec can then be permanently fixed to the joists. The remaining floor must finish level with the Aqua-Decs edges in preparation for the slip resistant floor covering.

Concrete floor with vinyl covering:
On concrete floors the Aqua-Dec can be let into the concrete screed and when the pipe work has been completed it can then be bedded down to sit level with the existing floor in preparation for the slip resistant floor covering.

Impey Tilesafe Tanking Membrane

When you need to waterproof a shower or wet room area quickly and safely Impey have the answer. The Impey Tilesafe® Membrane is a cold-applied, self-adhesive, waterproof membrane which consists of a thick rubberised waterproof layer, incorporating a woven glass fibre mesh on one side.
It has been developed for use prior to the application of ceramic tiles which are applied using a flexible adhesive which keys to the mesh. As the adhesive dries it forms a strong permanent bond through the mesh and directly onto the waterproofing layer.

Impey Tilesafe® can be fixed to ply, masonry, concrete or plasterboard to form a secure internal watertight structure. And because there is no curing time you can tile the same day. It is advised that Tilesafe® be applied to the entire floor area. Tilesafe® is only suitable for tiled floors and cannot be used with vinyl flooring.

The product is probably one of the best tanking membranes available for use in wet room applications as it provides a thick industrial strength impermeable barrier to any water that may escape beneath the tiles.
The membrane is self-adhesive and comes on a roll.  Once installed tiles can be applied immediately - there is no curing time.

Although particularly suited to floor applications Tilesafe can also be applied to walls as an additional precaution.  However, there is a maximum weight limit for wall mounted tiles when using Tilesafe and this should not exceed 20kg/m2.
Impey UK recommend tanking the shower floor to at least 1m beyond the edges of the 'Dec area (ideally the entire floor should be covered), with particular attention to the join where the 'Dec meets the surrounding floor.

The Tilesafe can be used with under floor heating, and at Impey UK we recommend use of the Devimat 100 watt system.
Impey UK offer 2 different kit sizes for Tilesafe, 5m2 and 10m2.
Note: Maximum effective temperature for Tilesafe is 32oC and should not be exceeded.  Impey do not recommend any other heating system than the Devimat 100 watt system.

The benefits :

• Cost effective tanking solution
• Quick and easy to apply
• Simple to detail in critical areas
• Ideal for suspended timber floors
• Flexible movement in substrates
• Compatible with all quality adhesives

Dry Deck 20 pumped drainage solution

In many contemporary showers and wet rooms a gravity drain is not a feasible option. In a loft conversion, where room height is constrained, or in a basement where the waste water outlet is higher than the gully, an alternative system is required.

The Dry-Deck 20 provides the solution. This low voltage pump system is quiet, compact and can be concealed so as not to compromise the rooms aesthetics. It provides a reliable solution requiring no regular
maintenance.

The system is quiet, compact and reliable and is suitable for flow rates up to 20 litres per minute. The unique dual valve system also means that the pump will not become blocked or clogged with debris such as hair, dirt or residue from cleaning products and remain totally efficient.

Key features and benefits include:
Automatically adjusts to suit the shower flow rate
Almost silent operation
No filter in the waste system
Pump valves prevent the escape of odours
Minimal installation depth of 35mm
Compact transformer control unit and pump - easy to conceal
A separate special pumped waste gully is required for use with the pumped waste system.

Linear Flow Dec

The 'LinearFlo-Dec' wetroom floor former brings together all of the great features found in our original Aqua-Dec design, but with the added touch of appreciation for modern contemporary design.

The LinearFlo-Dec is still 22mm thick with a built in gradient of 17mm, and it is available in 3 different size options and features the new sleek 'LinearFlo Drain' integrated linear drain outlet with brushed stainless steel cover (which is height adjustable for varying tiles thicknesses).
It is fitted in exactly the same way as the Aqua-Dec and comes with the same 15 year warranty.

For ultra-modern, uncompromising style the LinearFlo-Dec has been designed for living.
The LinearFlo- Dec is available in three size options, all complete with a linear flo drain:
LinearFlo-Dec 1200mm x 900mm
LinearFlo-Dec 1000mm x 1000mm
LinearFlo-Dec 1200mm x 1200mm

Aqua Grade Wet Room Floor Former

The Aqua-Grade is a revolutionary new product from Impey UK designed to make life easier for the installer when creating a screeded wetroom shower floor. Its fully patented design is the only one of its kind and nothing like it is available from other manufacturers.
Creating a consistent gradient in a screeded concrete floor for a wet room shower can be a difficult and time consuming task that requires a great deal of skill to get just right. The new Aqua-Grade is the latest addition to the Impey wet room shower range and is designed to produce the
perfect drainage gradient with ease. The unique patented design allows graded floors to be installed at the same time as the main floor screed giving huge time saving benefits.

Aqua-Grade provides a controlled gradient to work to, by simply filling the matrix with the screed then trowelling over the profile - simple as that! Once the mix has set or fully dried, the top surface can be tanked then tiled or overlaid with waterproof vinyl flooring.
The Aqua-Grade has been designed to take the pain out of manually creating falls in a screeded floor.  There is no more need for guess work or risk of water pooling, the Aqua-Grade gives a fixed gradient profile for the installer to work against so the skill level required to create such a floor is also no longer a question.  The product is a modular matrix formed from ABS and once assembled it is screwed to the sub-floor, the drain connected and the Aqua-Grade filled with a wet screed mix.  Next, the installer floats the screed to the profile of the Aqua-Grade and allows it to set (in line with current building regs) with the result of a perfectly formed gradient everytime.  And because the Aqua-Grade is modular the shower area can be made as large or as small as desired!

• Screed profile with integral 1:40 gradient
• Modular construction, formed from colour coded sections
• Variable size options
• Time saving
• Gives consistent results
• Compatible with underfloor heating systems
• Designed for use in concrete (sand & cement) floors
• Additional sections available separately
• Suitable for insulated floors
