FOR JEWELLERY AND WATCHES.
FIRSTLY: In order to qualify for paypal seller protection a seller must send there items out track-able and sign for.
Many seller Say "I'm not responsible for loss or damage in the post"
The truth is if you pay by PayPal ( I highly recommend you do) They jolly well are !
Any loss or damage in the post that your seller has not insured put a PayPal charge back in place.
These seller seem to think the freebie proof of post is sufficient.
IT'S NOT not worth a carrot the seller could have sent you a circular that you binned.
They must send on line traceable & signed for
Recorded Mail Not many know:
It does not cover Jeweller, watches or Glass FACT
It only insures to £30 MAX
Always use Special delivery for UK mail a boxed watch up to half kilo £5.05 Insures at this level to £500 at the next level to £1000
Sending abroad. Use Royal Mail International signed for, pay the extra for insurance Insure your item to it's true value. if a customs declaration is needed do not lower the value. Always insure for the sale price. Helps if you need to claim.
My last bit of advice for buyers is watch out for post over chargers, avoid uninsured and second class post sellers.
ALWAYS PAY BY PAYPAL
