Hi I purchased a car from Jas Auto's in Birmingham. The E-bay advert said the car would come with 6 months car Tax. When I picked the car up it had it's 6 month's tax on it.

A month later I had a letter from the Post Office to tell me that the car's Tax dics was purchased by seller by cheque and the cheque had bounced and I would have to pay for the full 6 month's Tax.

I contacted the departmant that sent me the letter and was advised that the seller had purchased 3 other Tax disc's with the same cheque. They then advised me that he does this all the time.

Having looked into the car's history a little bit closer I found the mileage to be 100,000 miles more than what the clock showed and the car had other faults aswell.

I have reported this seller to E-bay and Paypal and they are now investigating this seller as are the Post office and the Police.

I would never trust this seller and I am making this Guide to advise other people not to buy from him, he cant be trusted and you could end up with a car which is worthless with many fualts as well as legal issues.

Having bought the vehicle I am now stuck with it.

Please also note that E-bay's buyer protection does not cover cars. (Could this be because cars have too many issues with them?)

I advise anybody who buys a car from E-bay to cheque what you are getting. If you want to protect yourself from the Tax disc issue I had the best way is to by the Tax yourself.
