Joe Descomps (1869 - 1950) was a French sculptur working out of Paris in the 1920s and specialised in small scale figures in Ivory and Bronze. Although a number of his chyrselephantine figures are eclectic or derivative, others such as the 'Beauty of Paris' are highly original.
Beauty Of Paris, one of Descomps most famous pieces, is also known as Cape Girl work which really captures the 1920s ideal of the perfect female. His foundry marked his pieces R.Patrouillfa..Edit_Paris. Other famous Descomps deco bronzes include Regal and Enchanted.Martin Worster
