LITHUANIA FRAUD

If you have a winning bid from an unverified Paypal account in Lithuania (even if the address is CONFIRMED) for electronic goods, RUN FOR THE HILLS...

I am just one of many people I have made contact with now who have been defrauded...

Somehow (and this is in the hands of the Financial Services Ombudsman because it seems INCREDIBLY EASY for the fraud to be facilitated time and time again and it's ludicrous that the seller ends up being made ALLEGEDLY liable by Paypal/eBay - read your Paypal small print much???) a fraudster in Lithuania hacks into an eBay and Paypal account, changes the address and details to a PO Box in Lithuania (the same guy is doing it again and again but moving PO Box numbers... currently in Vilinius, shame this can't be simply tagged by the most elementary security system somewhere, eh Paypal/eBay?) and then cleans up by ordering cameras, phones, laptops etc...

After the sale, you'll get money credited to your Paypal account and then swiftly removed again (always about 4-5 days later) and then Paypal will start chasing you for the money, saying it's been recredited elsewhere, and you've lost the money, the goods, and paid for the postage to send it to Lithuania.
