Can the different parts and jobs of a Laptop or PC confuse you? Heres a little thing to help you.


Controls the functions of your laptop/PC. Speed is measured in megahertz (MHz) or gigahertz (GHz) - the higher the speed the faster your laptop/PC.

Memory (RAM):

Temporary storage used by programs running on your laptop/PC. The more RAM, the faster programs will run. RAM is measured in megabytes (MB) and gigabytes (GB).

Hard Drive:

Where information, such as programs and files, is permanently stored.

TFT Display:

Thin Film Transistor, a flat screen monitor that saves space and is more energy efficient.
