MINOLTA DYNAX 9 PRO SPEC 35mm SLR CAMERA...

The Dynax 9 was my first ever pro spec SLR camera, prior to this i had used models from Canon,  including the EOS 3, EOS 10, and the EOS 100, all were great cameras which proved themselves many times over as i used them on countless wedding bookings,

The first thing that attracted me to the Minolta was its "buisness like looks" and its tank like build quality...okay, it weighed a ton but it felt great in my hands, all controls were laid out logically and were very clearly marked and easy to understand, unusual for a pro spec camera the Dynax 9 had a handy built in flash unit...great for a little fill in flash, I fitted my Minolta with a vertical grip which not only gave you a very useful second shutter release button, it also meant that you could power your camera with AA alkaline batteries which over a period of several years saved me an absolute fortune on Lithium batteries!

For me my Minolta Dynax 9 was the undisputed king of pro spec 35 mm SLR Cameras, sadly i became very ill last year leaving me unable to continue running my own photography company, it was with a heavy heart that i sold off my much loved camera gear...still, i suppose thats life... As with the majority of 35mm cameras the Dynax 9 has now been deleted from Minolta's range of camera's...now we have a choice of Digital, Digital, or maybe Digital...what a shame.
