I've just read the guide about M&P not accepting return under any circumstances (and am sorry the writer was so disappointed) but have to say that my experience of their customer services was completely the opposite.
My brand new (and very expensive pram) broke and after just one 'phone call and within just 24 hours a completely brand new pram (not just the part that needed replacing) arrived by express courier. There was no suggestion that I needed to trek to my nearest store and argue my case - they sorted out everything.
Consequently, since then I have made a point of buying virtually nothing but M&P products for my daughter. They ARE more expensive than, say, Mothercare but based on my experience you really do get what you pay for.
