Hi there, i recently bought this model from an ebay seller and i'm writing a guide/review for other Porsche fans and diecast collectors.
The main area i want to focus on is the driver side door. That might seem strange, but as an eagle eyed collector this area is what first caught my attention.
You will notice on the white background for the racing number, there is no "Dunlop" logo on the top as there is on the passenger door.
This is not a mistake, so don't panic.
The images of the car on it's box, show the Dunlop logo in place on the drivers door. Even the pre-production sample from Minichamps had it on the door, as do all the official photos of this model.
But having found images of the real car, as it raced at Le Mans 24 hour race in 2006, I have found that is didn't have Dunlop on the drivers door, but it did on the passenger door.
So this means that Minichamps noticed this mistake with their sample, and fixed it before going into production.
So for everyone who has bought this car, it is not flawed, or a factory second or even a Quality issue from Minichamps. It's supposed to look like this.
As for the overall quality, it's typical minichamps, very well made and has real quality feel to all the parts. The engine cover even lifts right off the chassis just like the real car, something the Autoart porsches do not have.
