Kong Wubba Toy

Best Dog Toy Around

I have a Jack-a-Bee dog which is a cross between a Jack Russell and a Beagle he is a medium sized dog not far off the size of a Labrador. He is a very happy excitable dog whom we adopted nearly 2 years ago at aged 6. At first we bought lots of different dog toys including the Tough dog range which lasted about 5 minutes at most 30 minutes as Billy with his hunter instinct is a destroyer of toys. Then we found the Kong Wubba :)

He is a great natured dog but loves pulling his toys apart especially if they have a squeaker. After spending lots of money on a variety of brands advertising they are made to last I came across the Kong Wubba pictured above in my local Pets at Home store. I got the large size which was perfect for Billy. It has a Squeaker which he loves, squid like tails to swing it around as he does what I call the Hakka dance with it and it is the right size for his mouth (not too small) to ruin around the house like a mad dog with. The first Wubba lasted including the squeaker 8 months. He is on his second which we are on over a year but I do have a spare in storage in case this breaks.

Billy the Jack-a-Bee

The Kong Wubba is very durable although the squeaker can go quite quick sometimes but Billy gets lots of enjoyment out of it. The material is durable and can withstand Billys' sharp canines. Due to the different aspects of the toy (tails & squeaker) there is lots of enjoyment had for Billy and the shape is perfect for fitting in his mouth and running around without the risk of choking or getting a cough which he gets form tennis balls and rope toys. The Kong Wubba comes in a variety of sizes. My sister in law has a BUG (Boston Terrior x Pug) and she loves the small sized Wubba. For a small terrier or handbag dog I would recommend the xtra small size. For those with a Jack Russell or larger terrier breeds I would recommend the medium and for the very large dogs or Staffordshire Bull Terriers the xtra large size if great. These are particular great for the Staffie Breed.

Pricing ranges from £6-£15 depending on size but you can get some great bargains on Ebay even with the buy it now. I am on average as I like to stock up when I find a great buy for Billy £6 per purchase plus Pets at Home no longer stock this item which is a shame and having hunted around various pets stores I can now only get this online. There are other varieties of this toy as pictured below if you want to add more fun to your puppy's play time including the animal range. I like the simple toy for Billy but if your puppy is not as destructive as mine then you may want to try a couple of varieties. I do know there are more to be had. I was asked to write my first guide as part of a BzzAgent campaign and now I think I have the bug. If you have a puppy and want a long lasting toy, a Kong Wubba is the best value for money on the market.
