Moving & Storage

How's best to unpack & move the slabs - Do remember that slabs are very heavy and cumbersome and do ensure your own health & safety by only lifting weights you are comfortable with. Wearing suitable clothing including heavy duty grippable gloves, thick trousers such as jeans & ideally steel toecapped or stiff leather boots are also recommended. Slabs are best moved individually or with the use of a sackbarrow to move 3 or 4. We do not recommend using a wheelbarrow as this often damages corners and will also be at risk of toppling over. Perhaps you may want to have a family member or friend available on the day to assist.

How should I store my order - Please ensure the slabs are stored upright as they arrive on the pallet. It is surprisingly common to find people storing slabs flat in piles of 10/15 high, this only acts to damage the slabs with surface scratches, chalky marks & cracks caused by uneven weight distribution. We cannot be held responsible for damage caused in this way.
