During a recent visit to Cleckheaton, Hilary Benn, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs  took time to visit Over2Hills, the recycling arm of Hills Corporate Interiors.

Mr Benn was introduced to the Recycling process and was more than willing to get his hands dirty to show that Recycling was important in our fight to reduce Carbon Emissions.

Mr Benn was impressed by the recycling process and the products which were made on site. Over2Hills launched earlier this year and provides an effortless solution to the problem of redundant office furniture disposal.

Historically redundant office furniture has simply been thrown away straight into landfill, despite the fact that redundant office furniture can provide a source of easily recoverable materials.

The first product to be developed by the team at Over2Hills is “Little Eric’s Earth Tonic”, a garden mulch made from re-chipped wood.

The firm are constantly on the lookout for new uses for the recovered materials and are hoping to launch more products in the New Year.

Following on from his visit and how impressive the Recycling plant was, Mr Benn has asked Over2Hills to be guest speakers at the Regional Defra Conference in December.
