NEW SCAM ON EBAY - E-CHEQUES BE CAREFUL !!!

More and more buyers are now choosing to pay for their goods with e-cheques

E-cheque is just like  the normal paper cheque - buyers fund their paypal account via a bank transfer - both can take up to 10 working days to clear in your paypal account.Remember NEVER post the item(s) before the e-cheque has cleared in your account

Now that "SELLERS CAN NO LONGER LEAVE NEUTRAL OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FOR BUYERS" all sellers are in danger of receiving bad feedback (because of a slow delivery) and very low "delivery time" star rating and some are forced to dispatch the item(s) before the funds are cleared in their accounts which might result in loosing item as well as the payment...

HOW ? Now ebay and paypal will always tell you once the e-cheque has been sent out it cannot be stopped/cancelled/changed by the buyer ...

WRONG ! As with the normal paper cheques , e-cheques can bounce as well !

WHY? Simply because when buyer does not have enough funds in his bank account on the date when e-cheque suppose to be cleared their bank will simply CANCEL the e-cheque as well as the transaction which means they will not attempt to recover the payment again .That is it ! If you have send the item by then - you are out of pocket , there is nothing paypal or ebay can do in this situation to help you .You know you have been scammed SO PLEASE DO NOT SENT THE ITEM(S) OUT BEFORE THE E-CHEQUE HAS CLEARED IN YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT even though it might result in bad feedback from  buyers...if something like this happens REPORT IT TO EBAY .If they done this to you they propably done this  to other sellers as well , ebay might be able to track the scamming buyers and suspend their accounts

This guide has been created based on my personal experience so please do not make the same mistake as I did

DO NOT TRUST EBAY OR PAYPAL -PROTECT YOURSELF !!!
