NINTENDO Wii FIT PLUS OR GO! BOARD?????????

Like if this guide is helpful

After damaging my back 5 years ago ,we decided that i should have a wii fit board....the yoga would help my spine alignment and muscle tone no end..even my Doctor said it woul be a good idea....

BUT...MONEY IS TIGHT..tighter than a tight thing, and whilst there was no way in hell i could afford a wii fit plus board...(or so i thought...)i thought it might be worth investing in the generic GO! board....

WHAT A MISTAKE!!! whilst i agree it does look like the Wii fit plus board...if you squint your eye's real tight and have your back to it.

here's the main problems....

THE WII FIT BOARD AND GAME......

whilst it is what it is...it can be a bit large and combersome, but it doesn't skid around the floor, the exercises that come with the wii fit board are gentle to advanced...and the WII FIT PLUS BOARD can be used for other games........you can also set up your own profiles or even use your own Wiimee..plus the Wii fit board can support upto 23 stones and 8lbs in weight....all of the excercises and your personal routines, your BMI and Weight can be passworded so that you can keep this personal and private.all in all i would give this a general 9 out of 10...

THE GO! BOARD.....

when you buy this all you get is the board,no fitness instruction, and no game...so expect to buy the game separatley...

the board DOES NOT communicate with the Wii very well....it shuts itself down when it feels like it....you loose communication with the Wii at the most awkward times and you cannot save or password your progress...when you buy one of these what you see is what you get...

the board is a little uncomfortable to use the grips on the foot pads are sharp and painful(if you have sensitive feet..),and it does have grips on the bottom, but is not man enough to stop it from skidding about.

NOW i have a confession to make...whilst i am on a diet,i curently weigh 13 stones...and as soon as

i stood on the GO! board it totally went mad and told me i was too overweight to use the board without breaking it........so i took it back to where i bought it...they very kindly replaced it for me,with a new GO! board...and exactly the same thing happened, only this time it wiped my Wii clean, all my saved games gone!!!by the time i had gone back and forth several times to replace the GO! oard,it would have cost me the best part of £100.00 in diesel and heatbreak.....

whilst i think the idea of a genric board for the Wii is a good idea...its just a shame that the technology of the GO! board just doesn't match up....and after having 5 new GO! boards one after the other i got toally fed up and went for the Wii Fit Plus Board...and after a lot of shopping around i bought the Wii Fit Board for £75.00!!!,it came with the game and the board and all of the instructions and even down to the batteries were supplied free of charge.....

so i would rate the GO! board a small and dissapointing 2 out of 10.....

THE MORAL OF THIS STORY....

if you want a board that can be played on the Wii,that will help you keep your body toned and honed, and will end up being cheaper than a years membership to a gym...and that can be played with other games...go for the WII FIT PLUS!!!....But if you want a frustrating time trying to excercise and stay toned and honed...get a GO! board!!!!!!whilst i am no hercules even i know a false economy when i see one....the go!board needs to have all those little niggles ironed out before its even value for money...and when they do...it will be the most popular generic item on the fitness market...but thats going to take time....

if you want to buy a GO! board,i say its buyer beware...some might just get it right.and it will be a lottery as to which one will work perfectly with the GO! board..but i fear it just won't last....so GO FOR A WII FIT PLUS BOARD and save your time, dissappointment, and your money....WII FIT PLUS is the best excercise board with fitness instruction on the market at this minute...so invest wisely and enjoy!!!
