World Premiere: Dream shows new HDTV boxes
World premiere at the Anga Cable! Dream Multimedia, the leading provider of Linux-based set-top boxes, presented at the Trade Fair in Cologne, 4 to 6 May two new HDTV Dream boxes. For the first time the prototypes of the DM800HD se and DM7020HD presented. But that's not all in news of Dream.
The HDD-Case offers an elegant Dream Multimedia eSata USB solution for connecting external hard drives to a Dreambox or PC. The case takes on a 3.5-inch hard drive and is kept in the typical dream design. Special highlight: The contents of the hard disk can be encrypted using a number code or smart card.
The focus will be on stand H40, but the new HDTV-Dream boxes.
The DM800HD se has a new DVB-S2 tuner and a powerful processor. In addition to two smart card readers, it also has an HDMI output. Absolutely new in the second edition of the DM800HD is the color OLED display.
Also the prototype of the 7020HD has an HDMI output and an OLED display.
Dreambox This comes with a DVB-S2 tuner, but has a slot for an additional Plug & Play tuner.
To match this dream presents for the first time a plug-in DVB-S2 tuner that can be used in the DM8000HD PVR.
