This is a very useful bit of kit I bought to help move my transporter/trailer around the yard. It arrived flat packed and delivery was really quick. In a matter of minutes it was assembled. Seems well made and is definitely substantial. Nonetheless it has been torn down and reassembled a few times since I had it to get it just right and just how I wanted it. Most of the bolts are overly long, I guess that is as a result of the manufacturer wanting to use just one size throughout but it would look better if short bolts were used where applicable. Also, while talking of the bolts, a set of washers to complement the spring washers might have been a good touch but clearly it is all down to cost.
First impression was that the tow ball height was a little low so the dolly's wheels fouled the trailer's A frame. This required a spacer to raise it and give the clearance - it needed about 3/4".
I found the arm to be a little too long for general convenience so I reassembled the dolly slightly shorter. Just a matter of telescoping a couple of parts and it can be reversed in a second with a spanner if needed.
I also found the wheel track to be too much, again for general convenience, but the wheels can be moved nearer together with a bit of work if required.
I almost forgot to inflate the tyres - it is one of those jobs to leave to later and then forget!
Now I can manoeuvre my trailer into some fairly tight spots with ease. I couldn't justify the cost of an electric mover as I won't be moving the trailer all that often so this is perfect for my needs.
