NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC!
The long running series 'Now That's What I Call Music' has expanded worldwide and features many 'spin off' series alongside the main series which features top tunes by various artists for that period and is truly the music collectors collection. This guide outlines the main U.K series.
The main U.K. series started in 1983 with the first album 'Now That's What I Call Music' available on 12" double LP and double cassette.
The series continued on double LP and double tape format and the first 'Now' CD was 'Now That's What I Call Music 4' which was a single CD with selected tunes from the double LP/Tape album. Now 10 was the first double CD which featured all the tunes from the LP/MC and was presented in the now termed 'Fat Box' the last CD 'Fatbox' was 'Now 28' and then the series reverted to the modern 'Slim case' which it now uses (the latest album being 'Now 77') for a short period mini-disk albums were introduced but were not favourable and were fazed out quickly.
