Recently I had a transaction with a buyer for a siamese cat carlton ware t pot. Buyer received it and SAID it was faulty and that it had been restored and the lid didint fit properly. I told her she was wrong all all counts and that it had never been restored. She also said she had a friend who was an expert in carlton ware and that she agreed with her!! She asked to return it and wanted a full refund which i declined on the grounds that it was a perfect piece.which it was. Buyer took it upon herself to return the t pot at her own expense and demanded a refund. I again declined as i dont give refunds unless item was genuinely faulty. She put in a complaint with paypal ...some weeks later and loads of messages and putting my side of story to paypal .......they found in favour of the BUYER and refunded her the total cost!! What on earth is the point of having a resolution centre if paypal always go in favour of the buyer.what chance do we sellers have? In this sort of case how can paypal really know whats been happening.they cant see the piece in question, can they..only go by pics on ebay. Anyhow Im not at all happy with the outcome and have come to the conclusion that it doesnt pay to be nice or honest or have over 1050 feedbacks compared with the buyers 67 !!! She left me negative feedback after i had left her positive and before I knew what she intended to do. Dhe didnt make contact me immediately after its arrival but waited till id left her feedback..........NEVER AGAIN............I WILL NEVER LEAVE FEEDBACK UNTIL BUYER HAS DONE SO FOR ME!!! ANYONE ELSE HAD SIMILAR THING HAPPEN??
PS. I LATER SOLD THIS EXACT SAME TEA POT TO ANOTHER BUYER IN GERMANY WHO WAS OVER THE MOON.................AND FOUND NO REASON TO COMPLAIN AS THERE WAS NO REASON TO COMPLAIN AS THERE WAS NO FAULT WITH IT.........JUST SHOWS YOU EH???? LOL ;))
PAYPAL!!!! NO PAL OF MINE!!
