As I've mentioned before, fitness is a big part of my life. Things shifted for me when I truly began to think of working out as a benefit to my overall health instead of as a way to lose weight. Still, getting the motivation to get to the gym can be tough, especially if you're still feeling self-conscious about your body. One thing that always helps? Having the right gear! I feel much more motivated to hit the gym when I have a cute outfit; if I'm wearing an old ratty tee and leggings, I just don't feel good about myself. There are lots of plus size fitness options out these days, so take advantage!

I personally prefer my workout tops to be a bit loose. Once in a while I'll go for the tight fit, but I generally find those are more likely to roll up. I like sleeveless tanks, but there are some cute tees with sleeves as well. Neon is my trend of choice when it comes to picking out styles and colours, and sometimes I even wear the  ones with motivating phrases (don't judge me!) As a super busty girl, the only sports bras that I wear are by  enell--with these, I don't have to worry about bouncing around anymore!

Unlike my tops, I like my workout bottoms to be super tight, and I prefer capri length. The  long yoga trousers are usually not my style--I think it actually gets in the way of my routine to have all the extra fabric around my ankle.
I love  colourful leggings with  fun prints and patterns! If I do wear a  basic legging, I'll pair it with a printed top.

I generally choose a gym shoe that is made for  cross-training or running. I have one pair that is black and one pair that's grey with a pop of neon.

I know  sweatbands are considered passé, but I personally love them! I actually ordered a huge set of them from eBay because I hate bringing towels with me to the gym, so having a band around my head and another around my wrist to wipe excess sweat was the perfect solution. I also bring a  reusable water bottle and track progress on my iPhone apps.

If you're still nervous about working out in public, I'm a big fan of fitness DVDs and even YouTube videos. Don't force yourself to go from 0 to 100 overnight! Stay positive, do your best, and remember to stay hydrated!
