I am sure that many of you out there will have sent a postal order to a seller that has magically vanished & the seller swears blind that they have not received it!
That is why I have written this guide to try & help others like me who have been stolen off because that is what has happened you have been stolen off & it is fraud.

Postal orders used to have a counterfoil on the left which you took off  & kept as proof..
Since they have changed the style of Postal orders there is no counterfoil... But there is a unique Number on the postal order that IS TRACEABLE ... I recently sent a Postal order for a around 50.00 & asked my Neighbor who works at my local post office if there were any way I could trace it.. "She said that there is a long number on the receipt & that is the postal orders unique number which is traceable".

Here are a few tips to keep in in mind & to Always Remember.

1. Always, Always send your postal order recorded delivery & keep the proof of delivery safe so you can check online that it has been received.

2. Keep a record of the postal orders unique traceable Number ~ Ask the person behind the desk to write it down for you.

3. Always write the sellers name of the postal order.. This way it can ONLY be cashed by them.

4. Get a receipt for the postal order  (This also has the Postal Orders Number on)

5. Get a separate receipt for posting the actual letter (It will have the time & date etc on) ~ Not just the Orange recorded delivery slip that they give you.

6. Check the sellers feedback & if you feel a little weary of them or if they have feedback saying that they stated payment never arrived or were never received then copy & paste the below message & send that to them..

If anything it may shake them up a little..

I have sent your postal order out to you today by  first class recorded delivery so you should receive it shortly.
I dont really like to send postal orders as the last one I sent for nearly 50.00 apparently went missing. I am currently going through ebays fraud department with this I know the seller received it.
Due to this I have taken the liberty of photo copying the postal order & the envelope with your name & address on & have also kept a record of the postal orders unique number for tracing.
This is not anything personal but ebay really isn't what it used to be & you cant be too careful.
I have sent the postal order to the address below

I look forward to receiving my item.
Kind regards & best wishes .......................

THIS LETTER IS A COPY OF A REAL LETTER I SENT TO A SELLER & EVERYTHING IT STATES IS TRUE, THE SELLER WHO ATTEMPTED TO CON ME FOUND HIMSELF IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT & HAS BEEN BANNED OFF EBAY. OH.. & I WON THE CASE!
THEY FORGET YOU HAVE THEIR NAME,ADDRESS & THERE TELEPHONE NUMBER!

THEY CAN ALSO GET IN TROUBLE WITH THE POST OFFICE TOO BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

If you have taken the time to read this then I am very grateful as all I am trying to do is to save a few honest ebayers out there like myself from the grubby mitts of fraudulent sellers.. There are sellers out there that will try & con you by any mean possible.

I hope that you have found this guide helpful I have done all of the above when sending a postal order & I have not had a problem since.

Please vote that this guide has helped you as it may not of done yet but im sure it will in the future as there are hundreds of thieves out there just waiting to steal your hard earned money.

Wishing you all a lovely day Nat x
