I am mum to a 6 month old and I thought I would have found a list of invaluable pregnancy and baby items really useful. After trying so many things on the market here is my list of great buys!
*Maternity wear - I bought all of mine on Next, dorothy perkins online in the sale sections and Peacocks in store.
*Mothercare 'A' pillow for supporting bump in bed and for supporting baby during feeding. I also bought the 'My brest friend pillow which I found to be smaller and too rigid.
*Pregnacare multivitamins throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding
*Tommee Tippee breast pads - plastic backed and really absorbent - last all day.
*Tommee Tippee closer to nature bottles
*Chicco DJ walker - Has lots of music, sounds and light and the play part detaches to use as a feeding area.
*Cosatto happy snack high chair - has storage underneath and the chair reclines in 3 positions for a nap.
*Play gym for development with easy reach toys
*Rocker from birth - we bought 'I love my bear' from Toys r us
*Room thermometer - 'I love my bear @ Toys r us. Also the bath thermometer.
*Baby bath seat - Tesco deluxe folding baby bather is ideal and a good price.
*Fabric bibs - even with solids as the rubber ones that catch food go a bit discoloured.
*Nappy sacks and wipes in sealable snap packs
*Kiddicare.com - bargains galore
*Microvave sterilisers - quick and easy
*Baby sleeping bags - come in winter and summer togs - baby doesn't kick off blankets.
*Medela swing electric breastpump - quick and easy to use
*Invest in a rocker/glider for yourself if possible to support your back and shoulders. The best price I found was £80 + £20 delivery on ebay shops.
*Cow and Gate baby food - remains firm if put in the fridge for the next day which a lot don't.
*Argos for cot/wardrobe/drawer set @ £300
*MaxiCosi cabriofix car seat
*Bumbo to sit your baby upright on the floor - Not to be used on raised areas.
Finally, babycentre.co.uk is invaluable for your baby's development guide.
I hope you are as happy with these items as I have.
