Putting in the effort - selling items on ebay

Does selling something on ebay seem to take forever? Well, you aren't alone, this is my view on just what effort goes into listing something on ebay!

If you have ever sold anything on ebay you will know its not a two minute process.....

.... you need to sort out the stuff.....
.... take some half decent photos.....
..... write up the listing..... making sure that everything you can think of is mentioned in the auction....
....  sort out a price for postage etc....

.... When the auction is finished you need to wrap up the item....
..... make a trip to the most office.....
..... pay for the postage out of your own pocket (the paypal fees would take too long to transfer into your bank!) ....
.....and then if all goes well the buyer recives the item and feedback can be exchanged!

There have been times I've only made 99p for all this effort, and some times before I weighed the items before deciding on a price for postage, that I have even lost money! Its all a bit of an effort, but making an effort is definately worthwhile! I find that making sure that everything possible is included in the listing, the photos are good and the auction is honest and clear (i.e. you aren't out to rip the buyer off!) then the item will sell - which is the point after all!!

So when you are sat there on ebay, listing your items, just think you aren't the only one!
